Asia Cheapest Flights Bangkok Manila or Saigon
It is always a chore to figure out which is the best way to go to get the cheapest flights to Asia. Invariably I end up going through Bangkok because it is the easiest city to connect to. When I am looking for flights I usually Will also look at Manila and Saigon as those are cities that I normally will go to and spend some time in. Manila is almost always more expensive. Saigon can sometimes be cheaper, but you have the hassle of needing to have your visa before you get there and the cost of the visa needs to be factored in as well.
Manila for visas will give you 21 days on arrival and Bangkok you get 30 days on arrival. Vietnam like China charges a premium on visas if you are American. As I remember Vietnam was $36 USD and China was over $50. And you have to pay that on both legs in and out which is a easy $100 USD added to the best flight deals you can find.
Other airports that I consider are Singapore and Hong Kong every once in a while you can find a air ticket deal to Singapore and the visa is free the same for Hong Kong but the ability to find regional connectors from there is limited.
