LA To Bangkok Cheapest Flights?

I am looking for myself to find the cheapest flight deals LA to Bangkok and it seems as if there is nothing under a $1000 with one exception which is China Air which flies through Taipei,  Eva has a flight that is close at slightly over a $1000 but I am not finding the really cheap airline tickets that you would expect to find 2 months out.  I will look again tomorrow as Wednesday mornings are the expected cheapest ticket deal day but suspect that they have made that window gone as well.

 This is sad for me the idea that you could get a ticket to Bangkok from LA Honolulu or San Francisco for $600 or less was a good target to start budgeting for a Asia Cheap Vacation add another $400 and it takes a week out of the trip if you move around on $50 a day like I normally do.

So where do you make up the difference if your boss is not going to give you a raise? One way is to look for hotel and flight deals, if you stay in the nicer hotels you can often stay in the same class and get a better combined rate.  Some of the nicer Bangkok hotels will offer free pick up which is $20 off the top. 

Consider some lifestyle changes like make coffee in your room instead of buying on the street, sounds like a silly little thing, until you look at it at $2 a cup if you do 2 cups a day you are at 10% of your budget saved.  That was easy!

For me in Bangkok it is the food that gets me so easy to spend 200 baht when I can get street food for 20 baht. The thing is you want to do the restaurants but do you need to do all the meals at restaurants?

Get yourself a pad of paper that you can stick in your pocket, write down everything that you spend money on everything, every time you stick your hand in your pocket, write it down.  Now look at it after a week and you will be amazed at the stuff that you spend money on.  Now the goal is to divide $400 by 20 days which is $20 a day but how about this, look at what you are spending everyday, then it is 365 which is $1.10 a day, hey anybody can find a $1.10, do your self a favor find $2.20 and give yourself another week in Bangkok or Pattaya hey you deserve it!
