 Cheap Travel in Costa Rica is doing beans and rice and no real fun if you want to travel like we do in Asia on a $50 a day budget. From the airport where you can get a burger that you would get in the USA for $2 which costs you $5 to a scroddy hotel that sets you back $60 and you are happy to find it.

If you are looking for cheap hotels in Costa Rica you are going to have to look real hard.  we were shocked at the costs and the sad thing is after a few days it starts to sink in that you are not going to be able to travel in Costa Rica cheap Budget travelers are going to be hard straped here.

The International Flights from the USA seemed to be the best deal and I wonder if they are subsidiesed to get you here and then commence with the fleecing. Don't get me wrong the Costa Rincan are not the problem it is just the basic prices of the place.  Dorritos will set you back $4 for a med size bag?  Hot Dog $2 cup of coffee $2 a piece of chcocalte and I am not talk expensive chocalate $.20 in BAli Indoensia for instance you can get any number of candy Bars for $.10 not just a little nibble.
