As a travel writer I need to be more conscience of the different hotels classes and really see the differences between a cheap hotel and boutique hotel and a luxury hotel. Right now I am staying at a cheap hotel in Bali Indonesia Sanur Beach and I don't have anywhere to stick my luggage so that I can look through it to find my swim goggles. As far as amenities goes it did not make the top ten hotel amenities list that we did but I thinking of moving it up or maybe do a amenities list for cheap hotels to give the hotel, guesthouse and budget accommodations people something to look at as far as customer comfort is concerned. And putting in a little table or stand so that you can have a place to stick your luggage I don't feel is outside of the realm of reality for all cheap accommodations in Asia.
The other thing that seems to have made my pet peiv list this week is my old favorite internet. If you are a tourist destination you got to understand that some people even when they are on holiday vacation need to be able to do things like pay bills, talk to love ones and OK even do a little work remotely. And I for one have never had a problem with responding to unguent things while I am traveling but when I spend hours staring at a Internet connection that is not giving me any data through put I fell quite frankly pissed off especially if I pick the accommodation based on the fact that it advertised internet. As a inn keeper you got provide with what you advertise otherwise people are going to be pissed.
Now this budget hotel in Bali that i staying at has 11 stations on the tv all of them are in Indonesian with no English or other languages WHY BOTHER WITH A TV IN THE ROOM IF THE CUSTOMERS CAN"T USE IT? beats the hell out of me and starting from today I am not going to get mad I am going to just give them a shit revue SORRY but wake up! the hotel clerk and maids enjoying TV or your guests enjoying TV where is the benefit to you?
